This list details the fanlistings that I'd most want to run, in a personal ideal universe as it were. ^_~ It's not intended as any form of disparagement on any of the following fanlistings' current owners, most of whom do an excellent job at running them. It's just my little "if I could!" list. ^_^ And I've gained previous adoptions through having this up, so I'm certainly keeping it running - thanks to all concerned! XD
actresses

Subject: Torri Higginson
Rejections so far: 0
Why? Torri is not only a wonderful actress, she's also a lovely lady with whom I've had the opportunity to interact on a personal level more than once, and I am deeply grateful for that as her words to me the first time we met were a great help in overcoming my eating disorder, from which I'm now in recovery and have been for almost two years. She's an inspiration and an extraordinary source of strength and friendship to so many people, including myself and many I know in fandom. I would go absolutely insane were the chance to run this fanlisting ever offered to me, because I think the world of Torri. ♥
animals

Subject: Baby Animals
Rejections so far: 2
Why? If you have to ask, I'm wondering about you... Baby animals! I adore them, of every kind. They're sosososo much cuter than human babies, even when they scratch and bite. Furbabies - and non-furred animal babies, too - are just absolutely precious. I've had pets ever since I was a very small child, and I've always loved them. Even at the age of 21, I still squeal when I see baby animals. :D

Subject: Cats and Kittens
Rejections so far: 0
Why? I am, most definitely, an inveterate cat lover. I have been ever since I got my first cat at the age of eight, and I'm sure I will grow old with cats around me. I presently have three, all of whom I love to little bits and pieces even when they misbehave horrendously, which they sometimes do. I miss them when I leave home, but I even get attached to cats that aren't mine very easily. You'll often see me stopping on the street to fuss the nearest cat, and sometimes I even have mewed conversations with them. Several of my friends agree that I'm going to wind up "the Crazy Cat Lady", stuck in a flat with cats and my PC. But I love them all so much! This picture is of my baby girl Lillias.

Subject: Guinea-Pigs
Rejections so far: 1
Why? My late mother bred guinea-pigs, so I'm used to having many of them around, and I love them like crazy. My very first pet in life was a guinea-pig named Toby, an Agouti darling. They have such sweet little voices! I felt lonely for the first few months of not having "wheee!" or chittering coming from nearby at night, and I still miss owning real guinea-pigs, but I can't afford more pets than I have now. Unfortunately, or I'd fill my house with cats and guinea-pigs (not all running around at the same time, of course, I'm not that cruel!). I still remember my eldest cat's first encounter with a big boar guinea-pig we used to have named Pig. Misty sniffed, Pig yawned, Misty saw teeth and backed off. *grin* We'd never let either of them get hurt, but it was funny. Anyway, I love guinea-pigs, young and old! I used to show some of my own babies in my county show as pets every so often, but now I don't have any, I miss them a lot. So, yeah, would love to run this fanlisting, and was devastated when I was rejected for it last time.
Characters: Book/Movie

Subject: Stargate: Atlantis: Dr. Elizabeth Weir
Rejections so far: 0
Why? Well, to begin with, I fangirl her like a madwoman. Or isn't that the definition of "fangirling" anyway?... Regardless, I love Elizabeth very much. She's been my favourite TV character out of all the shows I watch since I first caught sight of her in a trailer for Stargate: Atlantis. I've been watching since almost the beginning, but since her reduction to recurring-character status, I've departed the show. I've lost most of my love for SGA, but none of my admiration of Elizabeth Weir. She's a strong, beautiful character; again, not flawless, but endearing; warm, affectionate and sometimes visibly vulnerable, though she tries to hide it, and I love all of that about her and more.

Subject: Battlestar Galactica (2003): 02.13: Epiphanies
Rejections so far: 0
Why? Well, it's my all-time favourite Galactica episode to date, and that's pretty much it! I love Mary McDonnell's incredible performance in this episode and since I'm also a devoted fan of the character Laura Roslin, it metaphorically tears me apart and puts me back together to watch this episode. I love it. I'd possibly feel like a bit of a fandom hog if I ever got to fulfil this wish, considering that I already run the fanlistings for Mary, Laura, Laura/Kara and Lee/Kara, but! I can dream.

Subject: Stargate: Atlantis: 01.15: Before I Sleep
Rejections so far: 0
Why? No question about it, even though I adore the two episode fanlistings I already run for this show, this is my all-time favourite episode of Stargate: Atlantis (3.06 and 2.16 coming close seconds). Elizabeth Weir is my favourite character, and this episode is centred around her and a ten-thousand-year-old alternate self. It's a science fiction TV cliché, but this time done perfectly; this is an emotional and warm episode that doesn't get sappy, is serious without being humourless, and quite honestly, it's probably my favourite episode of any of my sci-fi TV fandoms, in fact, even though it's been done many times before.
games

Subject: Computer, Console & Web Games: Final Fantasy (series)
Rejections so far: 3
Why? This is one of the true "ultimate" fanlistings for me, the one I can't see myself ever quit trying for no matter how much the rejections hurt, and would never give up unless I were forced to leave the internet, if I got to run it. I've been a fan of the Final Fantasy series since I was first introduced to VII when I was eleven, and though I'm not incredibly active in online fandom, I think anyone who doesn't "get" the games is crazy and anyone who does but doesn't love them, even more so! After ten years I am still so devoted a fan that I squeal every time a new release date is announced. I'm currently playing through XII for the third time, and am quite simply in love with it. The Final Fantasy games are incredible, and even if a game is below par for the series I still hold it head and shoulders above any other simply by virtue of being an FF game.

Subject: Computer, Console & Web Games: Final Fantasy IX
Rejections so far: 1
Why? My favourite of the series, so far, with the possible exception of XII, and quite possibly my favourite game of all. I adore the way it harks back to earlier games with little references here and there, I love the storyline and the soundtrack and the setting and all the characters... it's hard to explain exactly why all of it, but I love this game so much!

Subject: Game Characters: Final Fantasy IX: Princess Garnet Til Alexandros XVII (Dagger)
Rejections so far: 2
Why? Again, my favourite of the FF series so far, in terms of its female characters. Thrown into a situation over which she has less control than she imagines and little more understanding, Garnet's world is turned upside down in a matter of weeks; her heritage and her very identity in question, both her home kingdoms in serious danger, she still manages to smile and to fall in love, and I really like that in her. When she's forced to abandon everything she knows and lose the protection of the royal household in which she's been raised and sheltered for ten years, she still manages to stay strong, working through and overcoming everything that's thrown at her. She won't let life stop because she's having problems, and she's there for her friends when they need her even though she's got serious trouble of her own. Basically, this is all so much that by points, makes me love Dagger even more.

Subject: Game Characters: Final Fantasy XII: Bunansa, Ffamran 'Balthier'
Rejections so far: 0
Why? Balthier is the one Final Fantasy male that I can honestly say I fangirl beyond all reason. He's just awesome! Playing through the game, he is the one XII character who has been able to, in terms of people, amuse me, keep me constantly fascinated by him and also make me sad. He's definitely my favourite guy of the FF series.

Subject: Game Music: Final Fantasy (series)
Rejections so far: 1
Why? I'm a huge fan of Nobuo Uematsu, composer of most of the music for the series... it all goes so well with its setting. Time and location, character themes, I even love the "game over" music. The ringtone on my mobile phone is a MIDI of the Final Fantasy VII battle victory music. I listen to something from the series almost every day, even when I'm not playing the game, because there's always something that's so apt to my life within it. Whether it's the remixes done by The Black Mages, the piano collections, the vocal themes from the individual games or even just MIDIs, I love to listen to Final Fantasy music, and I recommend it to anybody who likes... music! Not just classical, either. There's such a variety, even my friend who likes death metal ended up loving FF music along with me.

Subject: The Long Kiss Goodnight
Rejections so far: 2
Why? I'm not usually much of a fan of action movies, but I love this one. It's funny, smart and a little bit sexy, plus it has two actors I love playing the lead roles. I have it on DVD, and I could sit and watch it all day long.

Subject: The Matrix
Rejections so far: 2
Why? Ultimate wishlist movie, here. This one's been on my wishlist since before I even had a wishlist. It influenced my life in so many ways; the movie and the fandom opened my mind to possibilities I'd never even considered, brought me a greater understanding of my own motivations as a person and as a writer, even led to my eventually coming out as a lesbian. There isn't a single character I can think of from this movie that I don't like, even the ones you're not supposed to like, and I can quote it backwards and forwards. I even love the soundtrack, which is how come I have those particular three listings in the albums category (granted wishes!)!
musicians: bands/groups

Subject: Lacuna Coil
Rejections so far: 1
Why? I've been a fan of Lacuna Coil for quite a while! Their first song that I ever heard was "Heaven's A Lie", but I've since gone a lot further back than that. Cristina is gorgeous, even hotter in person than when photographed, and LC are one of the few bands I can honestly opine sound even better live than they do on record, and on record they're pretty damn awesome. I don't go to concerts very often because crowds give me panic attacks, but when they played here last? I got a little bit hysterical when I found out they were playing near me and I grabbed a ticket and went - and had so much fun that I stayed at the concert listening even after I'd repeatedly dislocated my shoulder. Does that tell you just how much I love this band? *grin*

Subject: Queen
Rejections so far: 2
Why? I was brought up listening to Queen, from before I can even remember. My parents were both fans, and headbanging to "Bohemian Rhapsody" is one of my earliest memories. In their extensive catalogue, there are only two songs that I don't really like, and I know all the words to those as well as every other. I used to be a member of the official band fan club (can't afford it now), and I met a lot of new friends through loving Queen. They still rock like whoa, but Freddie's irreplaceable, IMHO. Still, what I wouldn't give to run this!
musicians: female

Subject: Ani DiFranco
Rejections so far: 1
Why? Ani is just incredible. Her lyrics are evocative and emotional without getting into country-song territory, and she doesn't shy from approaching any issue. If there's something she feels needs to be said, she'll get out there and say it and to hell with what anyone thinks of her for it. I love her and her music, and she's been a tremendously good influence on my life.
musicians: male

Subject: Freddie Mercury
Rejections so far: 1
Why? I've been a fan of Freddie's for most of my life, and I am still, though he died when I was only five years old. To me he was the consummate showman, with an incomparable voice and musical talent which is still beyond matching, and I deeply regret that I was never old enough to see Queen or Freddie play live. I've had this fanlisting on my wishlist since before I even had a wishlist.

Subject: Towns/Cities: Canada: Ontario: Toronto

Why? Beautiful, welcoming, incredible city and its people. I spent three weeks there in the summer of 2007 and it's the only place that's ever made me seriously consider emigrating.
relationships: tv

Subject: Battlestar Galactica (2003): Adama, William 'Bill'/'Husker' and Laura Roslin
Rejections so far: 0
Why? OTP much? ;) I love these two - their relationship is so well-developed. They know exactly how to hurt each other, and just how to comfort as well.

Subject: Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Olivia Benson and Alexandra Cabot
Rejections so far: 1
Why? My one real femmeslash OTP in any fandom, unless you count Xena/Gabrielle, which I don't as I'm not as heavily into that fandom as I am others. I adored the interaction between Alex and Olivia for as long as it lasted, and I wish there could have been more canon for it.

Subject: Stargate: Atlantis: John Sheppard and Elizabeth Weir
Rejections so far: 0
Why? Because! *g* Yeah, okay, I'm twelve when it comes to these two. I've enjoyed practically every interaction they've had in canon, and though TPTB may deny their relationship has elements of anything beyond the professional and friendship, it's obvious even to me with my mindblindness that this goes much deeper than that. There is also a lot of wonderful fanfiction around it, and even though I'm no longer active in either Stargate fandom, I still read John/Elizabeth fic when I see it posted.

Subject: CSI: NY
Rejections so far: 1
Why? Of all three CSI shows, I can honestly say that I've loved NY dearly since its beginning and still do. My love for this one has never burned low as it has at times with Miami and the original CSI, and I don't think that it will in the future. The characters that I didn't initially warm to grew on me after a while, but there were already several I did adore, including Stella, Aiden and Don Flack. I'd love to run this one.

Subject: Firefly
Rejections so far: 0
Why? If you know Firefly, then you already know how flat-out fantastic it was (and is, despite its cancellation), so you wouldn't need to ask! If you're a sci-fi fan and you don't know it... change that, for your own sake!

Subject: Stargate: Atlantis: Season 1
Rejections so far: 0
Why? My favourite season of any of the Stargate shows, I think. I miss the way that Atlantis was in its first year: sassy, smart, funny and emotionally intelligent, along with the many likeable characters in it.
