About the Fanlisting
This site was created between November 2008 and January 2009, approved at The Fanlistings Network after the previous fanlisting for Torri was removed from the network (it still appears high in Google results, but has not been updated in some time). This fanlisting is the only one currently listed at TFL.org. A fanlisting is a list of people from around the world who are interested in a certain subject (it can be such things as a food, a television character or, in this case, an actress); it helps to link together fans who want to find other people with similar interests. :) The layout of this fanlisting uses an image from Torri's role as Terra in the short film Save My Soul and was created in Adobe Photoshop 7.0, Notepad and Mozilla Firefox. It is designed to be best viewed in a 1024x768 screen resolution with Mozilla Firefox; if you have any problems, please let me know.
About Torri Higginson
Torri was born on December 6, 1969 in Burlington, Ontario, Canada; she is a Canadian actress currently best known for her role as Dr. Elizabeth Weir in the science-fiction show Stargate: Atlantis, a four-year part that brought her worldwide acclaim. She has done a great deal of work in theatre, movies and television to date, and has recently been playing bit-parts in several TV shows, including recurring character Dr. Jordan Hampton in the crime drama NCIS. She's loved among Stargate fans, especially for her friendliness, her love of animals (she has several pets, including a white dog named Sedge, who appeared on Stargate: Atlantis briefly with her owner) and a wicked sense of humour. In 2000 she won a Gemini award for 'Best Performance by an Actress in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role' for The City, and in 2005 she was nominated for a Saturn award for 'Best Supporting Actress' for her then-recurring role as Stargate: Atlantis' Elizabeth Weir. She divides her time principally between Los Angeles, USA and Toronto, Canada, where her musician brother Luke lives.
