What is a Fanlisting?

A fanlisting is a website that lists fans of a particular subject from around the world; in this case, the women of Canada. Fanlistings are free to join; a valid email address, a liking for the subject and a country are all that's required by The Fanlistings Network, though owners are allowed to specify that nicknames given for listing must be reasonable, since listing someone as Anonymous is permitted. In the case of this particular fanlisting, I make a habit of removing numbers from, and capitalising, everyone's chosen nickname. This fanlisting is listed as "Women: Canadian" in the People Miscellany category at TFL, and is the only listing approved there for the subject.

Northern Lights

This fanlisting, which runs using the script PHPFanBase, is owned and administered by Trialia, and it was opened on January 23, 2006. The current layout features Canadian actresses Torri Higginson and Carrie-Anne Moss, and was made with Adobe Photoshop and Notepad, using a screen capture from the movie Memento found at The Moss Pit and an agency shot found at TorriHigginson.info. Credit goes to friends at the TFL Board for the fanlisting's name, since I couldn't decide! :) All codes were kindly made for me by Kara-- I wanted the codes to be pretty, and codes are not my strength.
